On a visit to Marilyn's a few months back she generously gave me this old door- I had no idea at the time what I would do with it but I knew it would find a special place.
It is now know as a "potting bench".
My sweet hubby mounted it on the wall near the back patio so I could use it for dual purposes- a potting bench and outdoor bar top.
I love re-purposing!!!! I think it's addictive,though!!!
Thanks- but there is so much more to put on this shelf. I rescued all my grandma's clay pots- some of them must be 50 years old- and they will all be here,Lord willing!
Shadowlands(movie) ok- I cry but it's my all time favorite!

Welcome to SIMPLICITY....
I am a highly favored child of the God of the universe, the wife of the most wonderful husband in the world, the mother of five fantastic kids and grandmother of 16 simply wonderful little people!
I strive for SimPliCitY in my life but keep finding it slipping through my fingers~ so I write and think about it as often as I can. I guess that's what I'll share here, in a variety of ways.
You'll find lots of pictures of my kids, grandkids and friends as well as LoTs of different types of needlework- I am hopelessly addicted to needlework and nothing pleases me more than sharing it! There will also be lots of fun Simple Living Skills that I'd LOVE to share with you as I learn myself.
Relax and browse around and enjoy your stay!
