My hubby surprised me today by planning a visit to the Cajun French Music Festival. Oh my what a treat!!! A cajun band playin Ti NaNA( don’t ask cause I don’t know what it means in Cajun frenc!)
All I know is its a regular and I bumble through the words with the old cajun guys as they play-and I have NO IDEA what its all about-it’s just good music!!!
And where there is music there is ALWAYS FOOD-LOTS of food!!!
Jamablaya-Etouffe-Boudin-Red beans n rice- (actually everything eaten here seems to be served in or with rice) Gumbo-and more, more ,more!!!
These guys are cookin up cracklins!! MMM! We forgot to buy em,too!!!!
And all those yellow chairs ,left of the dance floor are full of ….ahem….hefty cajuns eatin that good food!!!!
We got there just in time for the Cajun waltz, jitterbug and two step competetion-and hey-where else do ya see a QUEEn with a 2 foot rhinestone crown on and t-shirt and blue jean capris with flip flops????
And dem dere folks-dey is cajun to de core ,sha- passin’ a good time at da festibal! eeeee iiiiiiiii!

I would love to eat all that Cajun food!! Being on Weight Watchers is great, but I miss my old habits of eating whatever and whenever I want, which would include rice and all of that stuff in great quantities! :) Glad you had fun.
Autumn, It looks and sounds like it was a lot of fun! Glad your feeling better and you had a great time. hugs and prayers from Wisconsin
