Friday self portrait…sigh…

spring pieces 004

Words cannot express my  sadness this Friday as I reflect on myself and my thoughts once again.(For those unaware, I am part of a challenge to take a self portrait each Friday, and reflect on my thoughts and actions for the week)

A dear friend lost her son in an auto accident yesterday- he was 26.

He was raised up with my older sons and together we have all seen lots of life- both good and bad. This morning as we gathered to clean the church building for the funeral service I realized that once again we were “doing this” together- burying a son-Leesa’s son- together.

We are so much stronger together –I cannot imagine my life without the women who faithfully gather to “do this” whether “this” is a good time or bad.

A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.

My thoughts and prayers are with your friend and her family. Such a tragedy and so heartbreaking.

Thanks so much! The family is coping well- large families are a comfort during times like this.

Oh, I am so sorry for your loss. I know how you feel as the friend because of my own situation 2 years ago with my dear friend's 26 year old son dieing in a car crash too. How sad life is sometimes. Thank God we all have friends to help us cope.
