One day about 5-6 years ago some nice folks in Palmer put a lock on the front door of "The Store" and just left everything the way it had been ,for the most part, for nearly 75 yrs!!!
My grandfather worked here after WW1 until his death in 1985- the only thing different is that the old stock- you know things like button up shoes-cotton socks and tons of other things a Dry Goods/Hardware store would have in 1920- is now stacked in the attic.
Well most of it is anyway- some of it is still right there in the store!
