This is no ordinary cottage garden.......

It is spectacular!!! The best part is that I get to watch this one develop first hand.

My dear friend lives here- in the heart of our small town. The neighborhood is one of the oldest and so is in a bit of dis-repair. There are a few rough folks living nearby and plenty of needy folks as well. But she has made her place just beautiful amid the old and unkept yards and given the neighborhood something to smile about and enjoy!

Liz is an avid gardener- it is truly her passion~ and she shares it with everyone; the needy neighbors, rowdy kids, old folks and everyone else.

A few days ago, to her great surprise she was awarded Landscape Award of the Month.

Naturally she was embarassed and completely surprised but I just wanted to share a glimpse of her little patch of Heaven with all of you. I only wish you could stroll through the tiny but perfect yard and see the smiling happy faces of many varieties of flowers with us.

okay autumn, you have to go into your settings, and change to a different blogger template to get pics up and down the side of your blog, that is the only way I think you can do it with blogger.

Ohhhhhh....
it's beautiful! as always!
Liz loves the smell of good dirt in her hands, and she probably doesn't wear gloves while planting. I'm sure of it.
There is something so therapeutic and calming in a garden.
When you plant, and care for your seedlings, and then watch the fruit of your labors come to fruition. It truly is a blessing.
And i know from experience, she shares her plants so willingly. Heck, she will head out to get a shovel, if you just comment on that "beautiful batch of daylillies".
I think that's part of the reason for her beautiful flowers. She gives with such ease, she never holds back. And God rewards her with an abundance of even more.
Liz is a one of a kind person. She is passionate.
About everything! I love her so much.
