Weird huh?
This is an authentic castle-mote and all. I'm just thinking- did they really put Alligators in the mote??? They are plentiful here ya know!!!
A guy my husband went to school with built it about 2-3 years ago. It's about 2-3 miles from our place - in the middle of an old rice field!
As you can see it is so far off the road you can only get a "fairy tale" view-which I kinda like.
I hear that it rents out for parties weddins etc and the folks live there as well. I think I remember reading that it rents for around $1250
for a 4 hour event! Too rich for my blood!!!
Just thought you'd like to see another side to the "country" where I live. :)

I did take all day today and did MY stuff,though! My stuff is yardwork- all those areas nobody else cares about doing cause they don't really notice them.
It makes my mind rest just knowing that they are done. Weird huh?
Of course my boy and I took a dip in the pond after all that work!:)
Autumn...that castle is fabulous!!...you know there's a little bitty one...well there WAS a little bitty...sure it's gone since Hurricane Katrina went through but it was just across the Lake Ponchartrain bridge from Slidell..it was on that service road..gosh, can't remember that highway...may have been Hwy 11..Anyhow it was super cool but tiny..it was built as a fishing camp.
